Alessandro Melchionda was born in Italy in November 1979.
Alessandro studied filmmaking at ITSOS Alber Steiner in Milan. After graduating from the University of Cinema of Bologna (DAMS) Alessandro joined the Silvio Soldini’s ShortFilmLab to further his skills in directing actors.
Alessandro has directed commercials since 2010 working across luxury brands, blue chips and FMCG companies such as Vodafone, Aston Martin, Sky, Vibram, RAI, Esssecaffè and Quadro.
Alessandro Melchionda wrote and directed his short film "CLACSON" which was selected for the David di Donatello Awards in 2013. In the same year the trailer of his documentary "DAYS OF GIANTS", about the toughest endurance trail in the world, won the third prize at the prestigious Sportel contest in Monaco.
"NAUSICAA" his latest shortfilm, starring Francesca Inaudi and Ida Marinelli, is about to be presented in film festivals .
